Autumn Jackson-Snider started twirling at the age of 10. She began to compete winning many state and regional titles including the title of Miss Majorette of Tennessee in 2009. Autumn qualified for Nationals that summer and went on to win Miss High School Halftime Majorette. She was the feature twirler of the Carter High School Marching Hornet Band. One of her fondest twirling memories in high school was twirling in London England for the Lord Mayor of London’s New Years Day parade. Autumn entered Fall 2010 at Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee where she twirled serving as Feature Twirler from 2012 – 2014. Autumn received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising.
After graduation, Autumn began her focus of teaching baton as a way to share her passion for baton twirling in her community. Within 2 years, she had 14 students and 2 teams. Autumn became the majorette instructor for her alma mater Carter High School in May 2016 and by that fall reignited the majorette program at Carter Middle School.
January of 2017, Autumn went back to Carson-Newman to obtain her master’s in Education. By Summer 2017, it was time to officially put a name to this wonderful group of twirlers. Autumn and her mother Debbie came up with Spectra Twirlers. Equipped with a name and growing baton twirling in the community, Spectra now has 6 different award winning teams comprised of 34 twirlers…..and growing!! Coach Autumn got married in Summer 2022 and enjoys spending her free time with her husband Philip and dog Comet!
